Synopsis of the performance
The play "Twelfth Night," based on the great Shakespeare play, is one of his finest comedies.
It's elegant, brilliant, life-affirming, full of humor, zest for life, and optimism. The production, directed by Sergei Pukhlyakov, is no different.
It's a play about the joy of life and the vagaries of love. The core of the comedic intrigue in both the play and the performance is a chance coincidence that dramatically changes a person's destiny. The director successfully conveys the idea that, despite all the vagaries of fate, a person must fight for their own happiness.
