Synopsis of the performance
The play "King Lear" is Yuri Kharmelin's latest production of the magnificent work by the genius of world literature, William Shakespeare.
"King Lear" is rightfully considered one of the greatest dramatic works. The story of King Lear is the tale of a man blinded by his own despotism, who in his later years first encounters the bitter truth of life.
What is the play about?
About the eternal conflict between fathers and sons, about mutual misunderstanding and unforgiveness. About responsibility to the generation, to our children, whom we are raising. They, unfortunately, can be perfect copies of their parents.
About the loneliness and suffering of women who are married but very unhappy. And about what, in deep despair, these women commit.
About a global, monstrous betrayal of everyone. Betrayal of a person is a huge step towards a total decline in morality.
And most importantly: about the price that everyone will have to pay for their actions in life. Retribution is inevitable. This must always be remembered.
