Synopsis of the performance

The play "Two for the Seesaw" was staged by Honored Artist of the Republic of Moldova Evgenii Bognibov based on the play of the same name by William Gibson.

This is a deeply poignant and honest play about a man and a woman, their complex relationship and their vastly different outlooks on life.
The play tells the love story of two lonely people, grasping at a chance encounter like a drowning man at a straw. They are so different that one cannot help but wonder: can these two be together, despite the tragic experiences of their past relationships?

Back and forth, into the past and into the future, to a former lover and then to a current one—this is the roller coaster ride the protagonist of William Gibson's play offers through his life. The uncertainty of choice, the inability to make a decision, the uncertainty of one's desires—these are the roots of the drama between Jerry and Gitel.
As long as "He" and "She" exist, loneliness will remain an unnatural human condition. We will always search for our soulmate, but the hardest part isn't the search, but the ability to understand and accept the other person for who they are... Without this, no matter how strong love, it can't keep us together.
After watching the play, one can learn another lesson: it's difficult to build a new relationship without putting a full stop to the previous one.
