Did your whole life flash before your eyes when you looked Fear in the eye? When you were almost certain you would now experience the unpunished actions of a rapist? And you were only nine years old?
This is a story about a short past life, told in simple words. It's a monologue in which the reality of everyday adult life is hidden behind memories laced with street slang, small discoveries about the big world, and dispassionate boyish observations. There's room for a child's unconditional faith that everything will be alright. "Who will love each other if everyone grows up evil?"—the main question posed by the protagonist—defines the play's message.
